Having a good moisturizer on hand is a must for everyone. If you happen to find one that includes other skin-friendly ingredients such as antioxidants and natural sun defense, like Chocolate Sun's Shea Butter Botanical Sun Defense, even better! This product was given to me to sample at no charge, but all opinions are my own.
Sun Protection and Moisturizer in One
The Shea Butter Botanical Sun Defense is a moisturizer with natural sun protectants and antioxidants. A sample was provided with the Chocolate Sun Sunless Tanning products for review.
The weather in my area is now winter, so it's difficult to judge the sun protectant abilities. However, the company claims that titanium dioxide and other ingredients will provide physical barriers. To use it in the sun, follow directions for application. Put it on at least half an hour before sun exposure and reapply every hour or so.
Per Chocolate Sun's website, you should test this product in a small area before applying it for use in the sun.
Personal Review of Shea Butter Botanical Sun Defense
I personally used this on my arms and legs. Due to my skin issues, I did not feel confident testing it on my face, although the company does note that it's "gentle enough for the face."
The best thing about the moisturizer was the scent. This is likely due to the combination of the shea butter, sweet almond oil, and sweet orange oil. I found it light and pleasant. My skin was softened and moisturized after using it.

The moisturizer is available on Chocolate Sun's website for about $18 in an 8-ounce bottle. If that's in your price range for a luxury moisturizer, consider picking up a bottle before hitting the beach.
